Based on a private 30 acre site alongside the Trent and Mersey Canal, in the heart of Cheshire, we have 6 acres of private water fringed by reeds and meadows.
We have approximately 90 moorings, a tea room, 5 glamping bell tents, 5 campervan pitches and 10 tent pitches. Open from April until end of September.
Facilities include electric and water supply to each mooring, toilets, showers and a laundry room, waste disposal and an external elsan toilet.
The five bell tents have access to a washing up station with hot water and a plug socket as well as additional fresh water points.
The campervans have electric/water hook up points.
We have a small shop for everyday essentials, with the addition of basic chandlery items along with coal, gas, logs and kindling as well as toilet Blue etc.
The site benefits from having several parking areas and 24-hour CCTV with ANPR for your peace of mind.
In our tea room, you can take refreshment while enjoying the canal and open space environment. This has seating inside and outside overlooking the canal and is open to boaters and passing public, walkers and cyclists.
Our meadows are perfect for anyone with a dog or just take a stroll and observe the views and wildlife along the way.
You can access free WIFI in and outside the tea room.
A great way to see the local scenery is to take a walk! A popular route for our guests is a 3 mile loop along the towpath towards Middlewich, bringing you out past the local Farm shop, before nicely back to the Marina. In the other direction you can head towards the village of Rudheath and part way to Northwich. Anderton Boat lift, a wonderful piece of engineering can be accessed via a long walk down the tow path but is probably better to take a short journey across town in the car. The lion salt works museum is also just around the corner to which Northwich is built upon. The road adjacent to the side of the site is a national cycle route and becomes very popular amongst cycle clubs in the summer months, bikes are not currently available to hire. A number of country parks are in close proximity, Marbury Park being the largest. Further afield there is Tatton Park in Knutsford or Dunham Massey near Altrincham (Both National Trust) approx. 15 minutes by car. Arley Hall Estate has some amazing manicured gardens, with Delamere Forest approx 20 minutes by vehicle and can be accessed from Northwich Station. The Historic City of Chester is 18 miles away.
As we are based on the Trent & Mersey Canal we are in the prime location for many cruising routes. We are sheltered by woods and rising grassland which provides a good habitat for various wildlife, such as geese, birds, swans and ducks, pheasants and we have a resident fox and visiting woodpecker. The local section of the Trent & Mersey Canal is lock free for miles, with stress free cruising local to the marina. A great place to moor, fish, relax and come back too.
We are within a conservation area that is renowned for its beauty and peaceful atmosphere. We also have good access to the local road, rail and cycle networks. Good fishing in our private waters and 1,000m of canal frontage.
